On Friday 23rd September, The Hammersmith & Fulham Urban Studies Centre held its Annual General Meeting which was attended by the Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, Frances Stainton, and members of the Earls Court Project team.

John Putnam, Chair of the Urban Studies Centre, presided over the meeting.

Director Moya O’Hara talked through the local studies sessions and project work delivered over the past year. These included the Earls Court Education Project, a class taken by St Cuthbert with St. Matthias Primary School and Fulham Primary School, and the Children’s Parliament on the Environment.

The Mayor then admired drawings, postcards and dioramas made by Fulham Primary School last year for the Earls Court Education Project and presented the class (now Year 6 and known as the Fulham Primary Lions) with a Certificate of Participation.

The school children had a chance to admire the Mayor’s ceremonial chains, and the Earls Court Project team admired their new Prefect, Head Girl and Head Boy badges. It’s amazing how much they’re grown since 2010 from Fulham Primary Meercats into fully-fledged Lions in their final year!
