Earls Court Exhibition Centre

Back in 1937, Earls Court One opened for business with the Chocolate and Confectionery Exhibition, and Earls Court Two was added in 1991. Through the years these two venues have hosted massive staff parties, sporting events and trade shows including the Ideal Home Show, the London Book Fair, the Good Food Show and the International Horse Show.

The Earls Court Exhibition Centre also has a long musical tradition, hosting the BRIT Awards and concerts by the likes of Madonna, Elton John, Kylie, Queen and the Rolling Stones.

Because of its excellent transport links, Earls Court was selected to be the volleyball venue for the London 2012 Olympics. This will be a fitting finale after which the site will be redeveloped into a vibrant, sustainable new neighbourhood providing new housing and jobs for Londoners.

Earls Court & Olympia is a very successful business and has longstanding relationships with many high-profile clients in the events and conferencing industry. It is committed to maintaining these relationships by investing heavily in Olympia.

In October 2010 The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham granted planning consent for the proposed upgrade of Olympia. This upgrade will improve the flexibility of the space, allowing it to host a number of events simultaneously and making it one of central London’s premier, state-of-the-art venues. With better facilities and greater capacity, it will be able to host many of the events once held at Earls Court One and Two, ensuring the future success of the exhibitions business.

But until 2012 it will be business as usual.
