Earls Court Exhibition Centre
Back in 1937, Earls Court One opened for business with the Chocolate and Confectionery Exhibition, and Earls Court Two was added in 1991. Through the years these two venues have hosted consumer and trade exhibitions, conferences and events including the Ideal Home Show, the London Book Fair, the Royal Tournament and the original Boat Show.
The Earls Court Exhibition Centre also has a long musical tradition, hosting the BRIT Awards and concerts by the likes of Madonna, Elton John, Kylie, Queen and the Rolling Stones.
Because of its excellent transport links, Earls Court was selected to be the volleyball venue for the London 2012 Olympics. after which the aspiration is to redevelop the site into a vibrant, sustainable new neighbourhood providing new housing and jobs for Londoners.
EC&O Venues, Earls Court & Olympia, is a very successful business and won the Venue Team of the Year award at the Association of Event Organisers Excellence Awards 2010. It has longstanding relationships with many high-profile organisers in the exhibition, events and conferencing industries, and Capco is committed to maintaining these relationships by investing heavily in Olympia. If recent proposals for refurbishments and improvements go ahead, Olympia will become Central London’s leading, large venue. With better facilities and greater capacity, it will ensure the future success of the business.
